Every time I make a post on posterous, I see this (Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4) for the first time at the head of the posterous post. If I click on edit and on edit page just press update once, the message is gone so it made me think what it is?

I googled it and what I found was that almost everyone using posterous is facing this issue. Look at this search query,

http://www.google.com.pk/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=1280&bih=578&q=posterous+Normal+0+false+false+false+EN-US+X-NONE+X-NONE+MicrosoftInternetExplorer4+&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&fp=7da8b2105ccbd0d5

However isolating posterous and searching I got to know that the problem is not specific to posterous and many other websites have the same issue. I further found a debate on the issue in a post from 2008 that discusses the problem from Fix Unix website: http://fixunix.com/mozilla/543486-normal-0-false-false-false-en-us-x-none-x-n...

It seems to me a WYSIWYG editor issue that does arise for the first time you save the post. Perhaps editor is using these attributes as flags to convey to the server that it is a new post (to me 0 refers to how many times post got saved) and once you edit the post the message is no more pushed back to the client. In either case, this is just a hypothesis which someone out there might verify or might be considered by posterous team.
